This quilt was made from a package of pre-cuts called a layer cake which means they measure 10" by 10". I think there was too much sun when I took the pictures the colours look dull...which considering there is a lot of yellow and red is not the case. This is quilted in an edge to edge foral pattern in a bright yellow thread. LM knows how to use red.
Happy Quilting,

Chocolate
A box like this, with my name in gold lettering, is a box a gal has to keep.
I didn't just shove it away....box now contains all the threads that once hung on the wall in the Attic. This thread was out direct light but it got dusty. These are not threads I use a lot, so a pretty box is just the ticket.
Thanks Cat Lady.

Two More Quilts
Two cuddle quilts, one for the Christmas season, and the other for a fella's birthday.
This piecer is enjoying applique and using her own pattern ideas. It's interesting watching
the direction clients take with their quilts. OOPS didn't realize I hung it with the deer upside down.
Hope you are enjoying the last Sunday in May...gotta get working on the "wedding quilt"
Cheers,

| This looks orange, is actually two tone red. It was too sunny :) that isn't a complaint. |
The motifs where left 'open' .

Vintage Linens
I have a few pieces of bed and table linens given to me by my DH's aunt and uncle.
These belonged to my DH's great aunt.. The story goes that she made these as young lady for her trousseau. The hand work is lovely, on these 100 years old square pillowcases.
Babette Pleikart never married and her beautiful linens may not have see much use, which to my mind is perhaps why they are in such good condition. I am blessed to be the keeper of these lovely pieces.
Happy Thursday,
gudrun
