Craigleith Station Lilacs

Just down the road a piece, is a retired railway station turned visitors centre. This is what surrounds the station in May.

An enterprising person planted lilacs around this railway station, and along the rail tracks for a bit.  The story dates back many decades.  The tracks have been lifted and  is now a walking/bicycle path. Lilacs grow well in our area. We have several bushes in our yard.  The picture below is of the blooms picked and hung to dry in the kitchen.

We 'helped' ourselves to the white ones....I'd love to get a white bush started.
Take a deep breathe....lovely isn't it?
Happy Tuesday,

Easy Street.

I have not had the time or perhaps the energy to blog of late.  ( I haveaberybadcold.)

So...this is Easy Street via Bay St.
This picture was taken outside and shows the lovely colours a lot better than the picture below which is indoors.... the colours look dull.
The centre is an all over feathery fern, the border is a veined leafy feathery bit as well.
The back is a white and black print.  I used a variegated thread on the top and white in the bobbin.
Looks great!!

Spring Came

I came home from Victoria to this....

Also plenty o 'weeds' and happy cats, too.
Today it rains and the wind will soon have the rest of the Magnolia petals on the ground.
Happy Mothers day, to all.

And travelling west ...Victoria B. C.

I spent a whirlwind couple of days visiting Victoria with a friend. I am on my way home tomorrow.
I am looking forward to spring at home.
