Celebrate. Blog Hop Party! St. Patrick's Day


Blog Hop Party with Give-Aways
     Did you know that in Newfoundland and Labrador, St. Patrick's Day is a public holiday?  I didn't. I also didn't know that in Montreal they have Paddy's Day parade....something that they have been doing since 1824. 
"The 188th Montreal St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the corner of Fort and Ste. Catherine and will proceed along the main thoroughfare until the corner of Phillips Square and Ste. Catherine."
     My eldest DS is joining a family with Irish roots, when he says "I do" later this year.  So, when  I saw
this Blog Hop Party celebrating St. Paddy's day, I thought this will be fun. 
The way it works....
You need to leave a comment, to qualify for a 'give away'.  The give away  from this blog,  will be a bundle of (what else) green FQ's plus a wee surprise.
The Party begins March 17 and continues to Mar 23, after which a random draw will result in a winner.
Then you can click the Party Banner, to take you to the list of other blogs participating.
Let the Party begin....

    I live outside of Cleveland, OH USA and Cleveland has been hosting a St. Patrick's Day parade for 145 years. They are expecting this year's to be the largest ever, with approx. 16,000 marchers! 75 degrees and sunny also (it often snows for the parade!). Thanks for the chance to win!

    I love the color green- there are so many beautiful shades. My great grandmother's name was Riley so that is definitely Irish. My husband grew up in Newfoundland( St.Johns).

    Hi Gudrun, I've enjoyed looking at your photos and reading your blog. I've been quilting a couple mornings a week while here in El Centro. They are a nice bunch of ladies.     I live in Dallas Texas and we also do a huge St Patrick's Day Parade every year, all you can see is green for miles and miles!! Thanks for the great giveaway!
