Farm animals and Veggies

This little quilt has been spoken for,  baby girl is arriving soon. Her Daddy farms.
Daddy is a sheep farmer   :))  but Grandpa was a dairy farmer.
I hope there were chickens some where.

Eight placemats from a collection of vegetable fabric.  Mostly veggies, mushrooms = fungi ....coffee bean? Bean = Veggie, right?

Not exactly sure where these will live.

Happy Quilting,

I made two.

Happy Monday,
It has been a great day so far.  I have been having technical difficulties with Volkswagen, to finalize the return of my diesel VW.  I feel so much better.  I have choosen a new car and the turn over takes place in a couple weeks with time and place booked.
Now to quilting,  I mde a very scrappy large quilt out of 4 inch squares ( I have a good size box of these.)  I got such rave reviews I made another one.

If your wondering....I have lots of 4 inch squares left.

Busting those scraps

The weather wasn`t cooperating enough to take an out door picture of this.  I haven`t posted pictures for some time, if I wait for weather now that I am motivated to post...I may lose the mojo.

This is a scrappy wonky log cabin, started some time back. Several years, I am guessing.
It was an excercise in reducing the string scraps.  It was  also an escape from the tyranny of practically perfect piecing.

Here`s a view of the stained glass windows on the upper portion of the staircase.

Back of quilt.
Hey ho,  I have a number of quilts that require recording here....back soon.

Sweat Shirt Quilt

A long time friend of my husband, also a friend of mine, presented me with 3 bags of sporting event souvenir t-shirt and sweat shirts.
How big were the bags..."the see thru blue" recycle garbage size, big.
A clear slate for creativity, only size and number of quilts was specified. Also no "hurry".

This happened in February, lots of dark and stormy nights or mornings to wash and prep shirts. The shirts were clean, and scented with after wash products.  To clarify adhesives work better, as do I without these products.

Sweatshirt quilt first. I have talked about memory quilts. I made one from my Dad's dress shirts. Perhaps JS admired the product, still I was a little startled.
To get the required size lots of blank space to quilt.

I enjoyed researching the various sporting events, and found sporting quotes to fill the open space, fun times choosing for these empty spots.
